Features:

  • The arenas that are going to be in the game are: Royal Rumble, Raw Is War, Wrestlemania, Sunday Night Heat, Survivor Series, and Summer Slam, and King of The Ring.

  • Enemies - You can even choose who you'll be feuding with More realistic entrances and music than ever!

  • Over 55 Wrestlers

  • Create-a-wrestler feature. While it probably won't be as extensive as the one found in WWF Attitude, it seems almost a given that if THQ hopes to compete in the wrestling war, it's going to have to step up to the competition and deliver this option.

  • Stat tracking.

  • Arcade-style scores at end of match.

  • Super enhanced wrestler entrances. This is already evident in the screen-shots we've provided. Asmik/Aki set the standard for videogame wrestling glitz with WCW Revenge. WWF Wrestlemania 2000 will no doubt expand upon what we've seen from the developer thus far.

  • Full grappling system.

  • Hidden weapons.

  • Television-style instant replay feature.

  • Realistic polygon models and real-life texture face-maps of athletes.

  • Hugely improved crowd graphics.

Gameboy Color

THQ scored a major coup this year when it signed an exclusive ten year deal with the World Wrestling Federation to bring WWF games to the gaming consoles. Originally, Acclaim was the keeper of the license for console videogame rights, but THQ was able to snag the series away from that publishing giant. The deal is, the company can start publishing WWF-licensed games beginning in November of this year. And the company isn't sitting around – game systems will see THQ-published wrestling titles for the PlayStation, N64, and – you got it – the Game Boy Color. This is WWF Wrestlemania 2000.

Features:

  • Entrances and taunts

  • 15 WWF wrestlers

  • Bio-rhythm system

  • Cage matches, tag team, survival, 2 on 1, handicap and head-to-head modes

  • Link Cable support for two player action

  • For Game Boy and Game Boy Color

WWF Wrestlemania 2000 will feature a lineup of 15 of the hottest, buffest, sweatiest wrestlers in the federation. Here's the full rundown of the game's characters:

  • Steve Austin

  • The Rock

  • Ken Shamrock

  • Val Venis

  • Jeff Jarrett

  • Billy Gunn

  • X-Pac

  • The Big show

  • Triple-H

  • Shawn Michaels

  • Undertaker

  • Kane

  • Big Boss Man

  • Road Dogg

  • Mankind

The game will feature a biography of each WWF character, complete with full-color photograph. And when you start a match with the wrestler, you're treated to a Game Boy-ized introduction that mimics the introductions seen live and on television. The Game Boy version of WWF Wrestlemania 2000 will cram more than 100 moves to pull off in a match – some of which are signature moves specific to the wrestler.

You want options? You got 'em. You've got your cage match, your tag teams…and a championship belt to earn. Make sure you learn the game's biorhythm system so you can take out your opponents with the greatest of ease. And if you can get your hands on another Game Boy with a link-cable, you'll be able to take on a human wrestler – and prove once and for all, who indeed is the king of the ring.

WWF Wrestlemania 2000 is both Game Boy and Game Boy Color compatible, and is being worked on by Japanese developer Natsume. The game will be ready to go this November, so get pumped.
